DonatE
Our community nonprofit is small but mighty! When you donate, you’re strengthening food security initiatives through our indoor hydroponic farm and community food hub, supporting vital research and resources in our environmental program, and keeping water testing services available locally through our water quality lab. As a registered charity, we provide charitable tax receipts for eligible gifts. We sincerely thank you for investing in the health and resilience of our community.
Donate through our Canada Helps page, or reach out to us by phone or by email.
Leave us a note if you’d like your donation to go toward a specific initiative!

Volunteer
An extra pair of hands is always helpful around here. Recently volunteers have harvested greens and herbs at our indoor farm, protected shorelines at New River Beach, and planted food-bearing plants at the local elementary school. As a nonprofit, we can’t thank our volunteers enough!
Connect with us by email or by phone to be added to our volunteer roster.

Join our Board
Eastern Charlotte Waterways is governed by a volunteer board. We’re seeking committed and passionate community members to join our board of directors, or to take part in board subcommittees. Skills, interest, or experience in all fields are welcome, including environment, communities, research, finance, HR, education and outreach, and more.
Our board meets four times annually to discuss all aspects of operations and administration. In between meetings, subcommittees (comprised of board members and other members of the community) act in an advisory capacity on specific subjects, including HR, finances, business development, and science.
