Project : Village Indoor Farm

Our leafy greens and herbs can be purchased during the fall, winter, and spring. What’s not sold is donated to our local food support organizations!

Food Hub Services - Affordable Food Bundles

Our food hub is developing a program that will deliver fresh and affordable food boxes across Charlotte County. With our partnership with Square Roots, this program will source produce from distributors and farmers that are considered either “seconds” or overstock food, then aggregate it to our food hub to be packaged and sold for $1 per pound. Affordable 10 lb bundes will be sold across Charlotte County through community partnerships.

Blacks Harbour Elementary Food Forest

We’ve implemented a food forest at the Blacks Harbour Elementary School where the kids can learn about where their food comes from.

Food Mapping

In collaboration with our partners Dillon Consulting and Ag in the Classroom NB, we developed an interactive tool to map our local food system and connect people with local farmers and food services. It maps growers, storage facilities, market and distribution locations, and much more.

The web map is being used in Agriculture Classrooms in NB in exercises aimed to teach students about local food systems, food providers in their community, and geographic information systems.
